The Wintersun Festival on the 3rd-13th June is Australia’s biggest rock ‘n’ roll festival. Featuring car events, a dance competition and more than 60 bands, the festival will be held from the 3-13 June. www.wintersun.org.au
Queensland Ballet presents The Sleeping Beauty at the Gold Coast Arts Centre on 11th June. Under the artistic direction of Queensland Ballet's Francois Klaus, this classic fairytale will retain the best of its traditional choreography together with well-known characters. A La Carte in the Park at Anzac Park, Southport attracts up to 30,000 visitors seeking various multicultural cuisine amongst a casual Gold Coast ambience. Visitors are invited to sample food from 40 leading Gold Coast restaurateurs, caterers and wine merchants. This is a free community event which will feature entertainment, live bands, singers, jugglers, animal character shows and multi-cultural dancers. Plates are approximately $3.00 to $6.00 each.
